Stresa on Lake Maggiore

Stresa, Italy is a charming resort town on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Some of its landmark buildings include the Grand Hôtel des Îles Borromées, the former home of American author Ernest Hemingway. The waterfront offers boats that take visitors to the islands of the Borromean Lake, which contains palazzos and villas. In addition, you can enjoy a bobsled roller coaster and the Botanic Gardens.
